I earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and social sciences and a master’s degree in education from California State University, San Bernardino. I  earned a doctorate in education from the Claremont Graduate University in California. Patrice Gotsch, my co-author, and I have taught English learners in the U.S. and abroad, and we've written many books and programs for English learners.
